Deep Sran Statement on Trumpcare

Congressional Candidate Condemns Republican Assault on Everyday Americans

ASHBURN – Teacher, tech entrepreneur, and candidate for Virginia's 10th Congressional District Deep Sran released the following statement today in response to President Trump's announcement that he plans to "let Obamacare fail."

"Donald Trump has made it clear from the beginning: he doesn't care about the millions of people whom the Affordable Care Act has helped. From insidious attempts to repeal the ACA and leave tens of millions of Americans without the coverage they need to his statement today that he plans to 'let Obamacare fail,' Trump's Administration and Congressional Republicans have consistently failed to prioritize everyday American families. Barbara Comstock waited until it was politically convenient to come out against repeal -- and that's not the leadership that Virginians deserve.

"Let's be clear -- the Affordable Care Act saves lives. 'Letting Obamacare fail' means allowing premiums to skyrocket, kicking people with pre-existing conditions off of the healthcare they so desperately need, and forcing families to make impossible choices. I stand with the millions of Americans who rely on the ACA against President Trump, Congressional Republicans, and anyone else who tries to make it harder to access quality, affordable health care."
